If you are coming from México, USA, UK, and other countries.

The closest Airport to the Swiss Riviera is GVA (Geneva),  it has exists to Switzerland and France so read the signs , of course you can arrive to other airports like Zurich, or any other European airport where a high speed train serves connections to Switzerland. Our Public transport is to dream for, almost never late and comfortable enough, hence my recommendation is to hop on a train.

If you arrive to the airport in Geneve we can take the train (SBB) to Lausanne or Vevey.  I really encourage you stay in Lausanne if you want to take trains to other places in Switzerland because it is a well  train connected city . 

If you take a high speed train (TGV) from an European country the stops could be Geneve or Lausanne.

Where to stay

FRANCE

AirBnBs or hotels are reasonable priced in France. Closest villages to Vaud canton are: Thonon-les-Bains, Yvoire, Evian, Annemasse, or any around Lac Léman (Lake Geneve).

Switzerland

Geneve is about 2 hours from our place and the event sites.

Lausanne is in Vaud a different "state" (canton) than Geneve, and it is the canton where we live. The reception is nearer to Lausanne, the big city, than from Vevey where the civil ceremony will take place; this may be a good place to stay, otherwise we have Vevey (near where we live) or Montreaux full of "rich student expats" and where the first Eurovision took place, also famous for the Montreaux Jazz Festival.
